Set above Ullswater, England's most beautiful lake, and commanding truly magnificent views over the surrounding fells, we have created a contemporary, well-designed living space within the context of a traditional, Lakeland dwelling. Bold, inspiring colours on the inside mix with the soft hues of local stone on the outside to create a truly unforgettable escape from routine.

With just two rooms available, you will always be 'far from the madding crowd'. Our ensuite rooms (1 double, 1 twin) are your overnight haven while breakfast is served with a panoramic lake view. Many of the Lake District's top attractions are just a short drive away (stay with us and you could get discounted theatre tickets) although the house offers plenty of space to chill out, read and recover - not to mention a full size snooker table. Whatever you're after, High Barton is quite literallly a 'diamond' in the rough and rugged northen landscape.
